What we’re about
At Craft Beer Maldon we try to bring craft beer from familiar and quality brewers as well as new and little known ones with one focus – High Quality! We know it’s not all entirely about the beer so we compliment our beers with a small but perfectly formed wine and spirits list alongside handpicked soft drinks and bar snacks to die for!
We aim to give you the friendliest of welcomes with knowledgeable staff to help you with your choice in a warm and comfortable space. We’re dog friendly and don’t forget that we do takeaways too in bottles, cans and draught in growlers!
Who are we?
We are husband and wife team Colin and Nicky who took the decision to open our bar in 2024 and opened in 2025. Colin has run pubs for many years and Nicky has helped him whilst having a “proper job” too! Now Nicky makes sure everything is spick and span as well as manning the bar and cooking all our home made specials! Colin does the other bits...
Goldie is the brains of the operation, if you can get her onside then you’re made!
Beers & Ciders
We have over 50 beers and ciders brought to you in cask, keg, bottles and cans. We try to bring the widest range we can from light lagers through to DDH pale ales, NEIPAs, West Coast pales, red beers, porters, stouts, sours, Belgian and fruit beers. Wines & Spirits
We have a small but perfectly formed wine and spirits list. There is a range of wines from our friends Missing Gate Vineyard who live just down the road and we compliment their wines with a few varieties that they don’t make yet. We have a small spirits list that we think covers most tastes with gins from the Suffolk Distillery.

Bar Snacks
Bar snacks are important to us! We have all the usual crisps, peanuts, butchers pork scratchings etc as well as hot specials from Nicky’s kitchen – They will always change but don’t miss her Curry Goat, Chick Pea Curry, Salt Beef Sandwiches and many, many more!
